Top weight Terach Al Samawi, ridden by amateur lady jockey Frau Wei, landed the 11th round of the Wathba Stud Farm Cup at the Saarbrucken Racecourse in Germany on August 15.

The six-year-old son of Tidjani was held in the back of the field and was always going well before he was shaken and did all the work when it mattered in the concluding stages to lead by two lengths close home. Kentauer Kossak took second place honours and behind them came Sayf.

The race has attracted a quality field of ten runners representing Germany, Switzerland, France and other parts of the world to battle it to the wire in the 11th round of the competition which was open for four-year-olds and above over 3000 metres in the Euro 3000 competition.
