HARC EUROPE GEARING FOR SUCCESS!
The Heritage Arabian Racing Club (HARC) are delighted to announce the forthcoming European HARC Championship taking place in Ghlin, Belgium on 30th October 2017.
The culmination of a successful racing season throughout the world, sees a growing force of Heritage horses come together at the end of the month to demonstrate the promising future of HARC. For the first time ever the Championship will have participation from Italy, Iran & Romania joining with Russia, Sweden, Belgium & the UK totaling 12 runners to date for a purse of Euros 20,000. KSA's Arabian Horse Organisation (AHO) are also kindly offering the trophies for the Nations Cup. Supplementary entries are still open to any HARC horses wishing to join us.

For Arabian horses of 3 years old and older, registered in a WAHO-accepted stud-book and whose origins comply with the HARC definition.
Race run under BFP-Galop-rules.
Weights: 3 year olds: 53kg (fillies: -2kg)
4 year olds and over: 59kg (fillies: -2kg)
Penalties: Highest penalty among : (with max penalty of 5 kg)
3 kg for each win in an “open” race since 1st of January 2017
or 2 kg for each second place in an open race since 1st of January 2017
or 1 kg for each win in a Heritage-only race since 1st of January 2017.
or 0.5 kg for each second in a Heritage-only race since
1st of January 2017.
No allowances.
Weights will probably be lowered for all, if no 3-y old fillies are racing at bottom weight! Travel incentives (300 euro per horse) if travelling by ferry and/or over more than 300km x 2.
The “Heritage Nations Cup” will be allotted if at least 3 countries (or groups of countries) have at least three starters in the HARC Championship. Points equal to the place of the three best horses of the “country” are added. The Nations Cup goes to the “country” with the lowest total of points for its three best horses. Trophies are offered by AHO (The Arabian Horse Organisation)
