HE Sheikh Saif visits Sheikh Mansoor pavilion at ADIHEX

His Excellency Lt. Gen Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Director General of Abu Dhabi Police, visited the His Highness Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival pavilion at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition as part of his tour of ADIHEX on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

The 16th edition of the five-day exhibition opened in the capital city of Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. It is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, ADNEC.

His Excellency Sheikh Saif congratulated the organisers in general and the HH Sheikh Mansoor Festival in particular for the innovative creation and design and congratulated the Festival’s role in spearheading the Purebred Arabian horse racing all over the globe. He was accompanied be several Sheikhs and senior officials.

Ms. Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, Chairperson of the International Federation of Horse Racing Academies (IFHRA) and Chairperson of Ladies & Apprentice Racing Committees in the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities (IFAHR) explained the innovative idea behind the Festival pavilion to HE Sheikh Saif.

Earlier in the day HE Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court, also visited and Festival pavilion and praised it for its uniqueness.

The HH Sheikh Mansoor Festival is celebrating its tenth year which also coincides with Zayed’s 100th year. It has occupied a sprawling 3,600 square meters area.
The presence of the Festival at the exhibition is part of the of ‘One World, 6 Continents, Abu Dhabi The Capital’ annual programme with focus on Purebred Arabian horse racing.

The Festival stall in particular and the exhibition in general were visited by several diplomats, officials and equestrian enthusiasts on the second day. Ms Lara Sawaya stated:  “The Festival pavilion is not only eye catching but has a strong message showcasing its ten years of activity. The response has been overwhelming.”

ADIHEX is organized under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Ai Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club and supported by The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD), International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC), The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) and The Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee. ADIHEX is a government initiative that aims primarily to promote Sustainable Hunting, Environmental and Cultural heritage.

The second day attracted lot of visitors again to the pavilion in the latter part of the day because of its raffle, one of the main attractions of the His Highness Festival tent, with prizes ranging from high-end futuristic cameras, watches, jewellery and cash vouchers.

The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival is sustained by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority and coordinated by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, with National Feed and Flour Production and Marketing Co.
