HH Sheikh Mansoor Festival’s top races in The Netherlands on Sunday

Amsterdam, The Netherlands - All roads in The Netherlands will lead to the Duindigt race course in The Hague which stages three races for Purebred Arabian races including the deciding leg of the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup European Triple Crown, all under the umbrella of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival.

The races to be run on Sunday, June 26 are the Wathba Stud Farm Cup II, the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship race and the final leg of the three-leg European Triple Crown in the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup race series.

After Ameretto having won the Euro Triple Crown in the last four years, 2016 is all set to see a new champion in this premier Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup race series. And the hot favourite is Ziyadd, a 4-year-old Bibi de Carrere colt out of Mizzna, trained by Antoine Watrigant for owner HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

Ziyadd, finished fourth in the first leg in Toulouse and then won the second leg in Rome and leads the pack with 13 points. In second place is Lightning Bolt with 7 points after a second place in Toulouse while Sir Bani Yas has 6 points after a third place finish in Toulouse.

All three in contention will be out to try and win and hope their rivals are not even placed if they have to carry home the Euros 50,000 bonus and the tile of European Triple Crown winner though Ziyadd just needs to finish in the top four to clinch it.

Other runners in this Euros 35,000 Group 3 race to be run over 1900 metres are Majeed, Vulcan du Clos, Ramiz Al Aziz, Bachar Qardabiyah, Hurra and Prada T.
