Spectacular end to WAHRC event in Warsaw
The Wilonow Palace, a 17th century castle which survived the two World Wars and stands as a reminder of Poland before the 18th century was the back drop for a spectacular show that highlighted both the castle as well as the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival as the curtain came down on the three-day 6thWorld Arabian Horse Racing Conference.
On Saturday night, May 30, one of the largest assembly of serving UAE Ambassadors were in attendance as the World Arabian Horse Racing Conference flag was passed on by the HE Asim Mirza Al Rahma, UAE Ambassador to Poland the current host to HE Saqr Nasser Ahmed Al Raisi, UAE, the UAE Ambassador to Italy after Rome was nominated to be the host for the 7th edition of the conference in 2016. |

US$ 50,000 HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak open race in Los Angeles announced
Warsaw, Poland - The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival’s 6th World Arabian Horse Conference at the Ufficio Primo in Warsaw came to a close on Saturday, May 30, with a lively Workshop during which a series of announcements were made.
It was the final session of the three-day conference. The Workshop, conducted by Ms Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, Chairman of the International Federation of Horse Racing Academies (IFHRA), Chairman of Ladies & Apprentice Racing Committees in the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities (IFAHR) and noted TV race presenter Derek Thompson produced a range of healthy exchanges between delegates.

The stars of the three sessions held on Friday, the second day of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival’s World Arabian Horse Conference at the Ufficio Primo in Warsaw were ladies involved in various aspects of Arabian racing.
Moderated by one of the few lady race callers in the world, Victoria Shaw of Australia, the panel members included Lara Sawaya (UAE), Joanna Majewska (Poland), Nadine Frampton (Australia), Karin van den Bos (The Netherlands), Denise Gault (US), Izeta Selimanjin (Croatia), HE Lulwa Alawadhi ( Bahrain) and Denise Hearst (US). |
IFHRA unveils Racing Scholarship Fund

The International Federation of Horse Racing Academies, IFHRA, at its General Assembly meeting held on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Marriott Hotel, Warsaw, Poland, unveiled an innovative IFHRA Racing Scholarship Fund (RSF) and also admitted 14 new members to the Federation.
An amount of US $100,000 has been earmarked for the IFHRA Racing Scholarship Fund and is expected to initially benefit between 10-20 apprentice jockeys to spend around two months each with reputed mentors. The concept is based on providing students with valuable continuing educational opportunities in the event they choose a new path within horse racing and related industries. |
