Raya wins Wathba Stud Farm Cup 5 in The Netherlands

Duindigt, The Netherlands - Raya C won the fifth and final race of the Wathba Stud Farm Cup series in The Netherlands, held under the umbrella of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival.

On Sunday, Raya C under Rebecca Danz got the better of AF Deema under Koeman Clijmans to win the Wathba Stud Farm Cup 5 at the Draf-en Renbaan Duindigt on Sunday, October 11.

Petruschka under Anthony Deau and Derham under Cindy Klinkenburg finished third and fourth respectively in the 8-horse field.

Margreet de Ruiter, leading owner of Purebred Arabian horses in The Netherlands gave away the trophies to the winning connections.

This is the most important race series for us as it develops Arabian racing at the grassroots level,” said Wieger Joost de Ruiter, President of the Dutch Arabian Racing Committee (DARC).
