Focused Endeavour

The World Arabian Horse Racing Conference, which was first staged by HH Sh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festical in 2010, was an attempt in channelize all energies towards a focused effort to boost Purebred Arabian racing.

Now we are in the fifth edition and it certainly has been a journey that has not only brought together all sections of the Pureber Arabian fraternity onto one plataform but has also thrust into focus many issues and obstacles in the progress oath of Purebres Arabian Racing.

The Festival believes that discussing and exchanging ideas is the only way forward for the sport of Purebred Arabian racing and the Fifth World Arabian Racing Conference in London will certainly be another positive addition to this match.

6th World Arabian Horse racing Conference to be held in Poland

The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival’s fifth edition of the World Arabian Horse Racing Conference began at the St James Theatre in London concluded on a glittering note at the historic Guildhall in the City of London on Friday night, May 30.

HE Abdul Rahman Ghanim Al Mutaiwee, UAE Ambassador to the United Kingdom which played host to the three-day event, presented the Conference flag to HE Asim Mirza Al Rahma, the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Poland signaling the fact that the 2015 6th edition of the annual World Arabian Horse Racing Conference will be held in Warsaw, Poland.

A range of issues starting with the need to woo the younger generation to Purebred Arabian racing to the challenges facing the creation and adoption of an international agreement to harmonize rules including those on transport of horses and an acceptable pattern race format were highlighted on the opening day (May 28) of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival’s fifth World Arabian Horse Racing Conference at the St James Theatre in London, UK.

The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival’s fifth edition of the World Arabian Horse Racing Conference began at the St James Theatre in London on May 28.

Over 350 delegates assembled at the prestigious venue to kick start a five-day programme which includes three days of seminars, an endurance ride and two flat races, all under the umbrella of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival.

London all set to host five days of action

The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival marks its fifth edition of the World Arabian Horse Racing Conference with five days of action in London starting on Wednesday, May 28. The annual conference, which started in Abu Dhabi in 2010 has since stopped in The Hague in The Netherlands, Berlin in Germany and Toulouse in France.

“Nearly 400 guests and officials representing various sectors of Purebred Arabian horse racing are attending. The three-day conference will be held at St. James Theatre starting on May 28 and this year we have included some innovative subjects like Social Media, Online and Networking and Research and Weight Maintenance for jockeys,” said Ms Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival and Chairman of Ladies Racing at the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities (IFAHR).

“The conference will end with a Gala Dinner at the Guildhall on May 30 and the next day the Festival’s two prestigious races – the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup and the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship IFAHR will be held at the Newbury race course,” she said.
