Italia Festival Verona Continues With Three Endurance Rides

Saturday’s CEIO2* HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Endurance Cup (July 26) saw global excitement as the UAE took top Team and Individual in that race with Bahrain coming in second.

Italia Festival Endurance continues with participation from 20 countries the three Sunday, 27 July races, also sponsored by HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival.

The day begins with the 120-km HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Endurance Cup OPEN CEI Two Star ride starting at 5.30 am.

Thirty minutes later the 120-km HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Endurance Cup (Young and Junior riders) Two Star event will be flagged off, then the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Endurance Cup One Star over 90 kms begins by 6:30 am.

Ms Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival and Chairman of Ladies Racing IFAHR and Honorary President of Italia Endurance Festival said, “The atmosphere here in Verona is simple magnificent and the central vet gate has been a hive of activity over the last two days.”

“It is definitely the most important 2014 event in Europe”, said James Coppini, the Director of Italia Festival Endurance. “We have worked hard and well with the FEI and the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival – to whom I give my greatest thanks-as well as with the regional and local officials.”

“We have brought to Italy, and to Verona in particular, an impressive number of endurance pairs that had the opportunity to test and learn about an amazing race track, which is perfectly suitable to the characteristics of the discipline of endurance,” added Coppini.
