San Francisco – With only three rounds remaining before the grand finale of the HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship IFAHR in Abu Dhabi later in November, ten lady jockeys have been declared to battle it out to the wire in the eighth round of the competition which is set to make debut at the Alameda County Fair-Pleasanton Racetrack here on Saturday, July 6.
Later in the afternoon, a full field of 12 runners will line up for honours in the sixth round of the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup at the same venue.

Ameretto, Phraseur Kossack and Alibaba Del Sol emerged the winning horses in a triple delight of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival at the historic Duindigt race course in The Netherlands on Sunday, June 23.
Dutch and other European fans of Purebred Arabian races were treated to some thrilling action when the HH Sheikh Mansoor Festival’s Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Arabian Cup (Group 3) race, the HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship IFAHR for lady jockeys and the Wathba Stud Farm Cup races featured the day’s meeting.
Trainer Maciej Malinowski saddled a 1-2 finish in the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival’s Wathba Stud farm Cup race held in Warsaw, Poland on Sunday, May 26.
Via Verdi Kossack, owned and trained by Malinowski, was ridden by Blazej Giedyk and finished ahead of stable mate Ganima under Stephen Mazur to complete a great result for the trainer.
London: Marta Pisarek became the fifth lady jockey to book her ticket to Abu Dhabi for a dream lineup in the final of HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak ladies World Championship (IFAHR) in November, after the Irish woman brought Altesse Kossack home in the UK qualifier of the series at the Newbury Racecourse on Saturday, May 18.
The UK qualifier was staged as part of an eight-race programme which featured the Group-1 JLT Lockinge Stakes and was broadcast live in the UK and the United Arab Emirates via Racing UK and Abu Dhabi Sports Channel as well as on line through the web TV at http://www.sheikhmansoorfestival.com/.
Top Omani lady jockey Salima Al Taleei partnered Mirabella del Sol to glory in the fourth round of the HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship IFAHR while Poulain Kossack has successfully defended his crown in the third round of the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup series (Listed) for Purebred Arabians at the Hoppegarten Racecourse in Berlin, Germany on Sunday, May 5.
Spring had at long last come to Sweden for the running of the first Gr3 (P/A) race of the season. Caused by a rather sharp track at Jägersro, The Wathba Stud Farm Cup is run over the odd distance of 1730 meters and is part of the tremendous effort and worldwide sponsorship of HH Sh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi puts into promoting the Arabian purebreds. Flat Racing Festival Year Book 2012 launched
His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority launched the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival Year Book 2012 soon after inaugurating the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2013 which is being held at ADNEC from April 24 to 29, 2013.
Received by Ms Lara Sawaya, Director of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival and Head of Ladies Racing in IFAHR, HH Sheikh Sultan wrote a message for His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and toured the stand which was uniquely designed as an ‘open book’.
The HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Racing Festival made its presence felt in three continents this week to continue on its mission to promote Purebred Arabian racing.
Like in every Sunday race meeting in Abu Dhabi the Wathba Stud Farm Cup race was held while in the US the Festival played host to the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup (Group 2) race and the HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship (IFAHR) race at the Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Texas on Saturday night.
